Mr. John Harris has spent his
entire career working in commercial litigation with
an emphasis on insolvency, primarily acting for
financial institutions and insolvency practitioners.
He is experienced in all insolvency procedures under
English law, and regularly advises office holders on
matters such as validity of security, antecedent
transactions, creditor disputes and retention of
title.
Mr. Harris earned a BA with
honours in Law at Durham University in 1992. He then
earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
with commendation at York University in 1994.
Mr. Harris also acts for
insolvency clients on general commercial disputes.
He has worked for financial institutions including
dealing with security, implementing insolvency
procedures, enforcement of guarantees and bringing
fraud actions. He has run cases at all levels of the
English Court system up to and including the House
of Lords. He joined Higgs & Johnson and was
admitted to the Cayman Bar in 2010. |
